iGram World is a free website at igram.world that saves public Instagram reels, videos, photos, carousels and stories to your phone or computer. Most people find it by searching “i gram” or “i gram dot world”. You paste a post’s link, and it hands back a file, with no login. Full HD video and MP3 audio cost from $11.99 a month.

We tested it on 16 October 2026 with three public reels, in phone and desktop browsers. iGram World keeps no copy of anything. It relays each file from Instagram’s own servers through a link that stops working after about 20 minutes. The free file is whichever copy Instagram shows the public, which ranged from 360 × 640 to 720 × 1280 pixels depending on the reel. This page explains how that works, and exactly where free ends.

What is iGram World?

iGram World is an Instagram downloader: a website, not an app you have to install, that turns the link to a public Instagram post into a file you can keep. It handles reels, feed videos, photos, multi-photo carousels, stories, highlights and IGTV videos.

igram.world in Hindi in a phone browser on 16 October 2026, with an Indian flag in the language menu, the heading Instagram Downloader in English, a link box reading यहां इंस्टाग्राम लिंक डालें with a Paste button, and a blue button reading डाउनलोड करें

What igram.world looks like on first visit in Hindi, in a phone browser, 16 October 2026. One box, a Paste button and a Download button. The link box reads "यहां इंस्टाग्राम लिंक डालें" and the button "डाउनलोड करें", while the heading stays in English. The row of icons switches between reels, photos, profile pictures, stories, IGTV and highlights.

The site itself just says “iGram” in its logo. People in India call it iGram World after its address, igram.world, which is also the site Google’s AI Overview cites when you search the name. The footer states plainly: “We are not affiliated with Instagram or Meta”. It is an independent site that works with Instagram’s public pages, not a feature of Instagram.

It comes in 28 languages, including Hindi and Bengali, picked from a flag menu in the top corner. The Hindi version, shown above, lives at igram.world/hi1/. There is also an Android app offered as an APK file from another domain. We did not install it, and this page is about the website.

Who runs it is harder to pin down. The privacy policy names the company as “iGram IO, located in the United States, Alaska”. The terms and conditions call it simply “iGram” and give the country as Alaska. Neither page gives a company registration number, a street address or a person’s name. The only contact is an email address.

Every English address, including igram.world/en1/, now opens igram.world/en2/.

What can iGram World save?

The site says its box accepts six kinds of public content. We tested a reel ourselves. For the others, the table below is iGram’s own description, so treat it as the site’s claim rather than our result.

Content Link you paste What you get, according to iGram
Reels Share, then Copy link, under the reel MP4 video with its original sound
Feed videos Share on the post, then Copy link MP4 video with sound
Photos Share on the post, then Copy link JPG, “usually up to 1080 × 1350 pixels”
Carousels Share on the post, then Copy link Each photo and video in the album, up to 20
Stories and highlights Share inside the story, or the profile link MP4 or JPG, only while the story is live
IGTV Share on the video, then Copy link MP4 of any length

Separate tools on the same site save profile pictures and posts from Threads, Meta’s text app. Every one of them works only on public accounts, for a reason the next section explains.

How does iGram World work?

iGram World doesn’t keep a library of Instagram videos. When you paste a link, its server looks the post up on Instagram, then relays the file to you from Instagram’s own servers. We watched each step in the browser’s network log during our test.

  1. You paste a post link into the box and press Download.
  2. The page sends that link to iGram’s server, at api-wh.igram.world.
  3. The server opens the post the way any signed-out visitor could, and reads where Instagram stores the video and its thumbnail.
  4. It sends back a download link on a second address, media.igram.world. Written inside that link is the file’s real location on Instagram’s content servers, cdninstagram.com.
  5. When you tap the download, iGram’s media server fetches the file from Instagram and passes it straight to you. The file name is built from the post’s caption.
  6. The link carries an expiry time. Ours stopped being valid 1,201 seconds after it was made, so roughly 20 minutes.

That design explains most of what the site can and can’t do. It can only reach what a stranger with no Instagram account could see. And because the link expires, a download page left open in a tab for an hour will need a fresh paste.

iGram says it “doesn’t store the links you paste or the files you save”. Nothing in our test contradicted that, but no outside visitor can see a site’s server logs, so it remains the site’s own statement.

Phones and desktops part ways at this point. In a phone browser, the Download button appears straight away. In a desktop browser, iGram first shows a screen offering the paid version, and the free download sits underneath it as a small link.

iGram World in a desktop browser on 16 October 2026 after pressing Download, asking Download high-quality video or audio only? above a large Get HD video or MP3 button, with a small pale link underneath reading I just want a quick browser download in lower quality

The screen iGram World showed in a desktop browser after we pressed Download, 16 October 2026. The large button leads to the paid plans. The free download is the small pale link, "in lower quality". In phone browsers this screen did not appear.

On a desktop the free route is there, but it is the small text, not the button. Click “in lower quality” and the normal download link appears. We tested this with Pixel 5, iPhone 13 and Android phone browser profiles, and none of them showed the screen.

Is iGram World free?

Mostly. Saving files is free, with no account and no stated limit. The free file is the copy Instagram shows the public, which ranged from 360p to 720p across our three reels. Full HD, 4K and MP3 audio need a paid Premium plan.

This is how iGram’s own page splits the two versions, set against what we got in our test.

Feature Free Premium What we saw
Video “Lower quality, not HD” HD, up to Full HD and 4K Free files of 360 × 640, 718 × 1276 and 720 × 1280
Photos JPG JPG Not tested
Audio only, MP3 No Yes The paid button offers “HD video or MP3”
Download speed Standard “Up to 2× faster, with resume” Not tested
Profile stats and media library No Yes Not tested

The free version is paid for with advertising. In a desktop browser, a floating video ad played in the corner of the screen while the plan options were open.

What Premium costs

Pressing “Get HD video or MP3” opens a plan picker with three lengths. These are the prices it showed us, all in US dollars.

Plan Price shown Works out per month
1 month $11.99 $11.99
6 months $24.99 about $4.17
12 months $34.99 about $2.92

The page labels the 6-month plan “save 33%”. On these prices the saving per month is closer to 65%, so the label undersells it. All three prices carry an asterisk, explained below the button as “VAT is not included”.

iGram World's plan picker in a desktop browser on 16 October 2026, headed Select a plan to unlock HD video and MP3 audio, with 1, 6 and 12 month options, a button reading Unlock access for 11.99$*, card logos, an already ticked box reading I accept the Televzr Terms of Service, and the note VAT is not included

iGram World's plan picker in a desktop browser, 16 October 2026, with the 1-month plan selected. The box accepting the Televzr Terms of Service is ticked before you touch it.

The detail most readers miss is in the line above the small print: “I accept the Televzr Terms of Service”. Televzr is a separate product, a media player and video downloader for Windows and Mac. Its terms of service say a subscription “will renew automatically at the end of each subscription term until you cancel”, and that “already billed subscription fees are non-refundable”. The box agreeing to those terms is ticked by default.

So if you pay for iGram World’s Full HD downloads, you are agreeing to Televzr’s billing terms, not iGram’s. Read those terms, and note the renewal date, before entering a card.

Why free quality varies from reel to reel

Video sizes are usually named by a number and a “p”, such as 720p or 1080p. The number counts the lines of pixels from top to bottom on a normal widescreen video, and the “p” stands for “progressive”, the way the picture is drawn. A 1080p video is 1,920 pixels wide and 1,080 tall.

Reels are vertical, so the picture is turned on its side. A vertical Full HD reel is 1,080 pixels wide and 1,920 tall. Most apps still describe it by the shorter side, as 1080p, so that it matches the same video filmed sideways.

Our three free files were 360 × 640, 718 × 1276 and 720 × 1280 pixels. By the usual naming the first is a 360p video and the other two are 720p, which most people would call HD. Instagram’s own labels, written inside the download links, said 360, 718 and 720.

The reason is that the free version hands over the one copy Instagram shows a signed-out visitor, and Instagram picks that copy per reel. For each reel we got the same file, byte for byte, in a phone browser and in a desktop one. What Premium adds is Full HD, 1080p, and 4K where the creator uploaded it. No plan makes a file sharper than the original.

Do you need an Instagram login to use iGram World?

No. We used it in a browser that had never signed in to Instagram, and the reel downloaded without iGram asking for an account, an email or a password.

That is also its limit. Because iGram World only sees what a signed-out stranger sees, it can’t reach anything that needs an account to view. iGram’s own page puts it this way: “iGram reads only what anyone can open without logging in.”

A downloader of this kind never needs your Instagram password. If a page using the iGram name ever asks you to sign in to Instagram through it, close it.

What iGram World can’t download

Some links return nothing at all. These are the usual reasons, from iGram’s own list and from how the site works.

  • Private accounts. Posts from a closed profile stay closed, even if you follow the account yourself.
  • Close Friends stories and messages. Both need a signed-in account to see, so they are out of reach.
  • Deleted posts and expired stories. Once a story passes its 24 hours or a post is removed, there is nothing left to fetch.
  • Full HD on the free version. The free file is the copy Instagram shows the public, 360p to 720p in our tests.
  • Old download links. A link stops working about 20 minutes after it is made. Paste the post link again to get a new one.

Where iGram World came from

The address is newer than the brand on its footer. These are the dates we could check, with the source for each.

When What happened Source
December 2021 igram.world showed an unrelated site titled “iGrams4Life” Internet Archive, 7 December 2021
10 February 2023 The domain was registered again, through Tucows, with Cloudflare handling it .world registry record
March 2023 First archived copy of the Instagram downloader, titled “Download Instagram Video, Photos, IGTV & Reels” Internet Archive, 23 March 2023
15 September 2023 The terms and conditions were last updated igram.world terms
October 2026 The home page lives at /en2/, and the site also sells an API and an MCP server Our visit, 16 October 2026

Two details sit oddly with that timeline. The footer reads “© 2020-2026 iGram”, and the privacy policy says it was last updated on 6 February 2021. Both dates are earlier than the current registration of the address. That suggests the text was carried over from an earlier iGram site. The pages don’t say which one.

iGram World for AI assistants: the API and MCP server

iGram World is no longer only a download box. It now sells the same Instagram look-ups to developers and to AI assistants.

The API page offers developers “a simple way to retrieve publicly available Instagram media and profile data”. The MCP page goes a step further. MCP, short for Model Context Protocol, is a standard way for an AI assistant to plug into outside tools. With it connected, an assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude can fetch things itself when you ask in plain words. That is the basic idea behind an AI agent: a large language model that can take actions as well as answer.

The igram.world MCP page in a phone browser on 16 October 2026, headed Instagram MCP server for your AI assistant, with the line No more blocked requests or scraping workarounds, a Start for free button and icons for ChatGPT and Claude under Supported clients

igram.world's MCP page in a phone browser, 16 October 2026. It pitches the service to people connecting AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude.

The page lists what an assistant can pull through it: profiles, account search, posts and reels, comments, the accounts that liked a post, followers and following lists, live stories, highlights and video downloads. All of it is public data, the same limit as the website.

Pricing on that page is separate from the download plans. It offers 50 free requests with no card needed, then a Pro plan at $50 a month for 50,000 requests. For setting it up in Claude, the page notes it “Requires a paid Claude plan”. If AI terms like these are new to you, our AI jargon glossary explains them.

Is it allowed to download from Instagram?

Saving a public post to watch later is common, but it gives you no rights over it. Reposting or reusing someone else’s reel without permission is where the trouble starts.

iGram’s own page says this clearly: downloading “gives you no rights to the content”, and reposting or commercial use without permission “can break copyright law and Instagram’s Terms of Use”. The Premium checkout repeats it in its small print: “This product must not be used to copy copyrighted material!”

Instagram also has its own download option for some public reels, when the creator has left downloads switched on. Where that button exists, it is the simplest choice. For anything you plan to share, ask the creator first and credit them. This page explains how the tool works. It isn’t legal advice, and the rules differ between countries. Instagram’s Terms of Use are the place to check what the platform allows.

What we checked

Everything above comes from our own visit on 16 October 2026, using Chrome on a Mac with phone browser profiles (Pixel 5, iPhone 13 and Android) and a desktop one, each fresh and never signed in to Instagram. On 19 October 2026 we checked the Premium prices, the Televzr box, the company details and the MCP pricing again, and all were unchanged.

No. It never asked for one in our test, and a downloader of this kind has no use for it. If a page using the iGram name asks you to sign in to Instagram, close it.

Download links expire. Ours lasted about 20 minutes, so paste the post link again to get a fresh one.

Can iGram World download from a private account?

No. It can only see what a signed-out visitor can see, so private profiles, Close Friends stories and messages are out of reach.

Does iGram World work in Hindi?

Yes. The site comes in 28 languages, including Hindi and Bengali, chosen from the flag menu at the top of the page.
